BURMAH-YÜNNAN frontier.
Peking, December 10, 1910.
A telegram of yesterday's date from His Majesty's consul-general at Yunnan-fu states that he has been approached by the Administrator of Foreign Affairs Bureau and requested to telegraph to me for information regarding rumour that a force of 500 soldiers were advancing on the north-east frontier of Burmah.
I have sent telegraphic instructions to Mr. O'Brien-Butler to reply to the Administrator that he is without information regarding rumoured move.
